Financial contributions

Our PAC helps raise funds that can advance school priorities not otherwise funded by the school district.

Our 2026/27 fundraising goal is $7000. These dollars will go toward a variety of class projects, field trips, arts presentations and science workshops throughout the school year. Last year, we also helped refresh gym and recess sports gear, and purchased software to support math learners.

NEW! We've recently launched a fundraising campaign to help create a carved Coast Salish Welcome Pole on the school grounds. This experiential art project is intended to mark the school's 75th anniversary and recognize the long history of the land under our neighbourhood.

We can't do any of this without the help of families, neighbours and local organizations and businesses.

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN DONATE:

• E-TRANSFER:  the easiest way to donate is to send an e-transfer directly to hello@jamesbaypac.com through your bank's online account. PLEASE NOTE: providing a donation via e-transfer will not qualify for a charitable tax receipt.

• CREDIT CARD: visit the school district's SchoolCash Online page. Be sure to scroll-down and select "James Bay Community School-PAC" as the Fund Destination. This method allows you to obtain a charitable tax receipt from SD61. NOTE: A 4% transaction fee is withheld by the vendor. 

• CHEQUE: donors can drop off a cheque made out to "Board of Education of School District No. 61 (Greater Victoria)" at the school office (140 Oswego St, during regular school hours) or at one of our monthly PAC meetings. Be sure to let staff know you'd like your dollars to support the James Bay PAC. Once processed, a charitable tax receipt will be mailed out by SD61.
